CAPE TOWN FULL DAY TOURS
All tours are conducted in luxury air-conditioned microbuses,
with professional, Satour Registered Tour Guides. Tours for groups of up
to 60 persons per vehicle are available on request. All vehicles have
cellular phone contact for your added safety and convenience.
Tours are offered in English, German, French, Spanish, Afrikaans and other
languages. Should you wish to have your tour conducted in any language
other than English, please inform us immediately as you make your booking. Lunch is not
included in the following tours, however, lunch stops will be made whilst on
tour. We recommend an amount of R70 for a full lunch, and cheaper
alternatives will be available for persons preferring lighter snacks. All
of the full day tours last approximately 8 - 9 hours.

The Grand Cape Peninsula Tour

You will be collected from your hotel.
A magical tour of the Cape Peninsula, including the Cape of Good Hope
Nature Reserve. Clifton Beaches, Hout Bay & Mariners' Wharf,
Chapmans Peak, Cape Point, the Penguin colony at the Boulders, Simon's
Town, and Groot Constantia Wine Estate OR Kirstenbosch
Botanical Gardens*, are all Highlights of the tour. A lunch stop
will be made on tour. A one hour stopover at Hout Bay allows you to
take an optional boat ride to view seals on Duiker Island. The
additional charge is approximately R30. There is lots to see and do
if you choose not to take the boat ride.

visit a teast 3 wine estates and partake in two winetasting sessions.

You will be collected from your hotel.
You will be taken to the quaint seaside village of Hermanus on the
Southern coast of Africa, near the latitude where the two great oceans
converge. Here you can gain a feel of the land, sea and the culture
of the Western Cape. Each year, Southern Right whales among other
species migrate into the coastal waters to calve and nurse their young.
The animals, mere metres from the shore, provide an unsurpassed whale
watching opportunity between July and November. On this tour, you
will visit or travel by; The Scenic Coastal Route, Cape Hangklip, Harold
Porter Botanical Gardens, Hermanus, Sir Lowry's Pass.

Cape Town and its surroundings offer unique
seasonal specialities - like the spectacular floral displays that blanket
the West Coast during the Spring Flower season.
*Out of Season Tour - This tour
is offered as a seasonal tour, but is gaining popularity as an out of
season tour because of its unique countryside, National Park, and
interesting coastal and inland villages. When done 'out of season' a
minimum of 4 passengers is required, or Private Tour Rates of R1150.00 for
the vehicle and the tour guide are required. (Entrance fees not included
in Private Tour Rates)
Included is a visit to Mamre, Darling,
Langebaan, West Coast National Park, Saldanha Bay. A visit to an
Ostrich Farm en route may be considered by the passengers. The
additional charge is R16.

and be taken eastwards out of Cape Town through spectacular scenery and

You will have the opportunity to enjoy wine tasting and embark on a
cellar tour. Explore the old university town of Stellenbosch
with its romantic tree lined streets and historical buildings.,
You will then be
taken around the Cape Point with stunning views over what many consider
to be the meeting of Two Oceans (the Indian and Atlantic Oceans),
through the Cape of Good Hope Nature reserve, through Simons Town and
Muizenberg, where you are able to see many landmarks, including the
famous Penguin Colony, all the time enjoying the views of Table
Mountain.

TOWNSHIP AND ROBBEN ISLAND

This is a Cross-cultural, alternative
tour, where you may experience the diverse cultures that comprise the
Western Cape. Your specialist guide will take you to visit people in
their informal homes in Khayelitsha and the surrounding areas. You
will have the opportunity to interact with the people of District Six -
Bo-Kaap - Rylands etc. Visits to township projects are
included, e.g. Temples, Mosques, Shebeens etc.
You are then taken to the V&A
Waterfront for a 30 minute ferry ride to Robben Island, South Africa's
own 'Alcatraz' and former prison to many of South Africa's well-known
freedom fighters in the days of apartheid, the most illustrious and
famous of which is Nelson Mandela. Former inmates act as tour
guides and one can gain an insight into the bleak lifestyle of
prisoners.
